Max

Nancy,
Sorry for the delay in getting these to you. Max is doing GREAT, has grown considerably, and put on some weight. He eats like a horse! He loves our red dobe, Sonja, and they play together non-stop.

Sampson

Nancy,

Attached are some pictures of Sampson. He is doing great and we love him very much. He weighs about 50 pounds now and is getting very strong. So far he has a very silky coat without any problem areas. He made a roadtrip to Nashville with us last month to visit my mom and did remarkably well in the car for the ten hour trip. He actually slept the entire time except for potty & meal breaks. His favorite pastime is going to the dog park and socializing with anyone and everyone there. He is extremely friendly with everyone he meets. Has you will see we had his ears cropped and tail redocked to the appropriate length. He tolerated both procedures very well without complications

Ziggy

Hi Nancy!
Knock on wood, Ziggy is doing really well. He was great in the car & of course he was really excited last night & "marked" 4 times...twice on my coat & twice on some old army crates that I have. He was very good in the crate last night, didn't make a sound. So far, today, he has not peed on anything. He's doing awesome on the leash...a little afraid of the wind today. He hasn't been jumping up on us. After our morning walk, he ran to drink out of one of our fish ponds & fell in! He didn't like that too well but, it hasn't stopped him from trying again. Until just a couple of minutes ago he was lying at my feet while I cooked. He's doing good with the other dogs, still won't play with toys, seems to hate squeakers & doesn't want bothered with trying to hold a bone! His favorite new sport is Bassett Hound jumping and he is terrified of the vacuum.

Thanks!
Stace

Luke

Luke is doing really good. We went for a three mile run yesterday and he did very good. He got a little tired at the end but he runs really well. Then we went to meet his new grandma who was a little intimidated at first but fell in love with him, of course. Then we came home, curled up and took a nice afternoon nap together. He had me laughing, we got in an argument over lunch, apparently he thought mine
smelled better than his and we were yelling at each other for a few minutes
over it but I won, this time. The only problem so far is his barking but that's not too bad. Oh, and he try's to steal every stuffed animal out of Leeya's room, every few minutes he try's to sneak out with a different one so this morning we are going to run up town and get him some of his own.
He curled into bed and didn't move at all last night, I had to get him up. He is really being a wonderful dog and has been on his best behavior, I could not be any more happy than I am and I am very thankful that this worked out. It seems that I was ready to move on and I know Frazier is happy for us too. Luke is so much like Frazier in many ways, especially the way he makes me feel, and the life he bring to our home. Thanks again, and I get some pictures to you as soon as I can.

Sedona

Hi Nancy,

here is a photo of Sedona, her sister - Maxi, and Andy. I took it last fall.

You should come join us at class some Friday and see the crazy girl.
I've attached pictures that Deb took a couple of weeks ago. Sedona loves agility equipment, but thinks it should always be her turn to play with it.
Hope all is going well for you.
Hope to see you soon, Launa

Sedona was found in the same house as Gunther, the owner who was a drug addict died and a while later the dogs were found. Sedona was very small and all natural (that means with tail and ears) when I got her she was a little timid but very loving. Her new owners love her dearly and Sedona is now called "THE WILD CHILD" She has grown up into a beautiful girl and has a new confidence about her....and is doing great!

Callie

Nancy,

Hi from Ed & Ruth Lusky. We adopted Callie (Carly) from you about 4 years ago. She is doing great, and we love having her. here is a photo of Callie, if I locate any better ones I will send another to you.
Ed

Callie formerly known as Carly the dog that was thrown out of a moving car (hence the name) a few yrs ago.

Lilly

Hello,

just to let you know Lilly is doing great. She is putting on weight and is in good health. She loves playing with my other dobie Tucker, they get along great. Thanks from all of us.

Bear

Good Morning,

Just wanted to let everyone know that Bear is doing well. As you can see
from the attached photo he is happy to have
full run of the house. He and the cats have found their comfort zone with each other. His favorite pastimes include going for walks, napping, and cleaning Lucy's ears. Kris' arm is all healed up from her and Bear's tumble on the ice. She was eager to get back to "her cats." She volunteers scooping boxes at the local Petsmart for the Paws organization.

Take it easy and good luck to the Steelers tomorrow.

Mark

Kane

Hello Nancy,

I just wanted to take a little time to thank you for the great experience yesterday. Kane seems to be taking really well to the whole change. He's been playing and trying to get Indy to play. So far she is staying away but it's getting better, she has told him that she is the boss and he's letting her go first and do her thing. He's here asleep on the couch beside me and doesn't seem to have a care in the world.

Thanks again.

Robb
PS here is a pic of him a little overwhelmed with all of the toys to play with.

Jet

Nancy,

I apologize for taking so long to getting back to you about jet.
He has been a great new addition to our family and is thriving he is now a hundred plus pounds and growing.
He and Rosie get along like a couple of old friends he is every thing you could hope for. We are very happy with the progress he has made. Again very sorry for taking so long and thank you so much for for our new best friend.

Sincerely,

Tracy  Roy Tyler Jet and Rosie

Izzy

Kisses and her new friend Izzy sharing the loveseat

Leroy

Leroy is doing great, though housebreaking is frustrating, older puppy, you know. His skin is clearing up great!
Here's he is on Christmas enjoying a wood fire.

Blue

Blue is doing great! She loves going to the park.

Cleo

She is a bit camera shy and was extremely quiet the first night. She gobbled up her food as though she had never eaten, when she found her bed, she gladly walked into the crate and did not attempt to come out. We ate in the dining room, she sat in the kitchen looking at us but it took her quite a bit of time before she crossed from one room to the next. She is my children's first puppy and they don't know what to expect. I must say this is the MOST docile baby I have ever seen. She has been through so much. She wasn't really interested in the toys but loved the food treat (doggie snack). No crying or anything coming from her. The kids think they want to call her Cleo (short for Cleopatra). Paul bought her all the girlie foo foo pink stuff (how undignified for such a regal dog) but she did not care. She was fine in the car.

There was a long nap on her favorite chair with dad after this afternoon in the snow. Those two goofs sit and watch football together. He thinks she likes the game, she likes the lap and the occasional snack that drops.

Tonka

Nancy,

We had a very busy holiday. We had family over all day for Christmas. Tonka was given a full test, kids running screaming, strange people everywhere, and food, food, food. Through the day our family started to fall in love with

Tonka. At first everyone asked why we adopted a older dog, by the end of the day people had fallen in love. We had many offers to take him home. Our family couldn't believe how well behaved was and most of all how loving he is. Marcie and I have fallen in love with him. He has meshed perfectly into our lives and is getting used to our two year old. Tonka takes a new step out of his shell of shyness everyday. I have sent some photos from Christmas. He is spoiled rotten! He loves to run and I just finished putting a wireless fence that he does very good with.

Best Wishes
Mike

Ozzie

Hi Nancy,

Ozzie is doing just fine. He is an excellent watch dog.

Louie

This is Louie in his new home!

Louie came from a puppymiller who was relinquishing some of his dogs. Upon arrival here it was discovered that this sweet natured boy was absolutely covered in fleas and ticks.

This is Louie with his new sister Cheyenne a old red female who was just adopted!

Bosco

Bosco is doing well. He does not bother the birds, barks at the snakes when they move around in there tanks.

Cooper and Bella

Hello Nancy , A little update , cooper wanted to do the little great race/ Photos attached . We are doing great Cooper is our friendly dog we take everywhere and Bella is a little too protective to take to a lot of places so she gards the house . They are fine and happy .

Kaena

Hi Nancy! I just can't believe that it's been two months and eight days since our lives were made so much more happy by the arrival of Kaena. I look at her and think how very lucky we are that she wanted us for her family. It seems that she has always been here and we know that she was meant to be with us. She has really come into her own personality, she is so loving and has the best manners of anything or one I know! She is funny and loves to play. You should see her run around the house, she chases me and then I chase her, it's a riot to watch. She is also playing more and more outside, tracks the deer and sniffs out any toads she can, which of course she wants to eat! We tell her "no eating toads" and then she drops them and is off to explore something else. We can not imagine our life without her, we love her so much. Kaena has asked me if she can send you a little message so here goes. "Hi Nancy....I wanted to thank you for taking such good care of me and giving me love. You know I didn't have a very nice life my first 5 years so I really felt safe at your place and I think you were sad that no one came to see me but I wasn't really ready to go and I didn't want to go to a home that just didn't love or care for me. I am so happy now with my Dad, Mom and my Kevin, they were just the ones I was hoping so much that would come for me. They love me soooooooo much and my Mom says I'm the most beautiful girl she's ever seen. She, Dad and Kevin kiss and hug me constantly and tell me how much I mean to them and I know that they are telling the truth, I can see all the love in their eyes and their hearts. They feed me only organic food with loads of vitamins and give me fresh ground steak, lamb and delicious chicken breasts, my Mom says I deserve only the best and she wants me to be very healthy. Mom takes me for a nice long walk in the morning so she and I can get good exercise, people stop my Mom and tell her what a good dog and how beautiful I am, my Mom always says "yes she has impeccable manners" the kids always want to pet me and sometimes I let them but mostly I like to chase the leaves and see if I can find a squirrel or two! So see Nancy, you were worried for nothing and Mom says that she and I had a guardian angel to make sure we found each other. My life is now what I want it to be and I'm with the family I should have been with all along and I owe it to you for doing such a great job helping not only me but a lot of others find a good home so I'll always love you for that, thanks Nancy for giving me a chance to live a great lie with people who love me a lot!" Kaena. Well as you can see Nancy, she's a smart girl and we want to thank you too for allowing us to give this wonderful little girl a place in our home and our hearts. Love, Dreena, Gary, Kevin and Kaena Fieber

Red

Hi Nancy, Just got some pictures taken. Mum isn't as good with a camera as you but she did her best. Took another walk today. I think I may have the growth removed, it scrapes on the road and bleeds, But don't worry we went right home and I got to lay on my pillows. Check out all the toys and bones I have to chew on. Malaki and I are becoming good friends. He still gets jealous of me when mum comes home from work but we are off playing soon after that. I prefer to sleep alone in the living room, they all snore!!!! Well gonna go off to bed now. Have a busy day taking care of dad tomorrow. Thanks for finding me this place. I am no longer afraid here and I get cookies all the time.

Apollo

Hello, I wanted to drop you a line and let you know Apollo has now been with us for 13 months and we could not have asked for a better dog. As you know we searched for months looking for the right adoptee, then as we were planning a trip to meet you and another foster, the other foster found a home and Apollo just happened to come in at the right time. He is a beautiful boy who takes great pride in spending time with his family and playing with our other "kids". He is now AKC registered and has earned his CGC. Other than a UTI he has had no health issues.
I have taught him a few new tricks, the most recent is I place a treat on each of his paws and have him wait my command to eat. I have actually been working on this with Apollo and Carmella individually, but this morning decided to attempt it with them beside each other. They may not look happy, but they waited while I got the camera. In the attached picture, Carmella is to the right and Apollo on the left. I have also worked with our two Jacks, they will not lay down and let me put it on their paws (their nose is just to close), so I have them sit and I place it in front of them, they both literally tremble until let them have the treat. I can actually get all four dogs to do this together (except I have to be in the middle of the circle) and wait for my ok to eat the treat.
I have also been working with both big dogs with the treat on the nose trick, both are getting much better at holding it there until I say "get it" then Apollo turns his head and catches it... and Carmella flips it way up to catch, only thing is half the time she tosses it to far and Bandit or Princess get it. She is not so happy with this, she looks to me with great disappointment as she worked so hard for it. What can I say, they are my babies. Jason and I are very proud of them with this trick. My son, Matt, says I am torturing them. I do not feel it is torture, they are simply earning a reward. :)

I hope everything is well and that you are having a great weekend.
Many thanks.

Cyndi

Zorna

Nancy:
Zorna's doing great.
Had her for a checkup with out vet, and she's in great shape. Gave her the last heartworm pill and made an appointment to have her teeth cleaned in Nov. She loves to run -- can do 5 miles with Jan and still is ready for chasing squirrels in the yard and a late evening walk around the neighborhood with me. Eats three times a day -- loves Science Diet and Iams biscuits. I attached a few pics of her at home and a recent trip when we went to a friend's "camp" in Allegany County, NY. How gorgeous her red coat looked on a beautiful autumn day amid the trees and hills!

We'll stay in touch.

Axel

Hi Nancy,
Yesterday was my First Birthday. Mom and Dad made Fillet on the grill and we all got some. Those funny looking things with feathers suck all the juice out of the steak and throw the meat to the us, Sarah and Duke, and I didn't know what was going on, so I missed out on that one. We all had a taste of ice cream it was gooooood. Sarah and I dug a hole in the yard on Tuesday , Dad was real mad and yelled at us, so Sarah and I dragged logs off of Moms logs pile and filled the hole up. Dad and Mom had a big laugh off of that one. Whooooeeeeee we lucked out on that. All is going well with me and I am happy in my new home. I sure love Duke and have to be near him all the time and Sarah is a good outside playmate. She puts me in my place in the house but I am learning. Got Moms sandal today and chewed off the strap Mom yelled and then gave me a big hug. Dad has special gloves, he plays with us all, we all have a good time but when he is tired he says out and we all go and lay down. Dad took me to the lake to the cottage they have a huge fenced in yard there. I really had a great time there. their neighbor came over and played with me for an hour Her name is Sarah too and she loved me to pieces. I am on Catalyst soft chews now for my scratching. Mom and Dad have their fingers crossed, that I don't have to go through allergy shots. I am getting another bath with oatmeal and aloe this weekend keep your fingers crossed for me I don't want to have to get tested for allergies. I am so happy that I do not have to be crated here Its a different world. Everyone even the birds put me in my place at times but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I get to sleep in bed with all fours in the air. I get to play in the yard and I get food and loving.. Dad even brushes my teeth. It tastes good it is beef flavored.

Love you

Axel

Hero

Hero is doing wonderful. He still is gun-shy with noises, absolutely will not go to any male he see's, unless he has seen them enough that he really knows them, but he is ok with females and kids. Since we have gotten Max, I say he has "regressed"! That's a good thing! He is now just a really big PUPPY!!! Its great to watch him like that! During the night, however, him and Max seem to think its Playtime! They chew any thing the two can get their teeth on! The other morning I came downstairs to what l looked like "snow". The chewed up a roll of toilet paper! I told Bob and he said it was Max's fault. Hero would never do that! But Max couldn't reach it! So Hero had to get it off the table and then it was a joint effort! We have lost lots of slippers, and Zoe has lost 2 pairs of Spiderman sneakers, and some other shoes and 3pairs of Spiderman slippers! We cannot forget to leave anything in their reach or you can bet it will be gone! Oh ya, I almost forgot, the two made a joint effort and chewed up Bob's glasses one night! Good thing I work for an eye doctor! Oh well, if that's all we lose, and it makes Hero and Max happy, then its OK. As long as they leave the expensive things alone. We had Hero back to the vet for his scratching and they put him back on a round of his same Medication he had when we got him, but not the Ivermax. They did do more skin scrapings and they were still negative. That was good. Other than that he is in perfect health. They just love him at the vet, especially his ears because he isn't cropped.
And Nancy, you say on your website that you do not have completely trained and perfectly behaved dogs. That a lie!!!
Hero is PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!

Talk to you both soon!
Ann, Bob, and Zoe

Ruby

Hi Nancy and Donna,
I just thought I'd send you a few pics from our trip to Cook's Forest last weekend. I've included a pic of her furry friends Claudette and Earl too, they had a great time together. Ruby is doing really well.
We are absolutely nuts about her. She is the sweetest girl! She is still a big chicken but she has come a long way. We go to the dog park regularly with her bratty brother Bijou to work on her confidence, but she still prefers people to other dogs. She likes Bijou even thought he he steals all her stuff and breaks it - sounds just like a real brother.
Hope all is well..
Thanks for everything!
Nicole

Bonnie

Hey here is Bonnie in her new home!

Nancy,
We love Bonnie, she is a baby doll.
Ken and Diana

Zack formerly Atticus
He is WONDERFUL!!!!! He's busy chewing on a big cow bone at the moment, I have a couple questions about the microchip registration and the AKC papers, I'll call you later in the week or next weekend, I have attached the pictures from yesterday and from today, feel free to share them or post them as a happy ending - THANK YOU!!

T. (aka Tres or Theresa)

Sadie now Salus

It took her about all of 10 minutes to make herself right at home. And only about 2 hours to be totally cool with the new name. The cats don't seem to be in any real danger, but she is relentless in her desire to play with them. She plays way too rough so I have to keep running interference. Peaches has only come out from under the couch twice and got pounced on both times, this dog is quick. Jasmine is too arrogant to let anyone come into HIS house without permission. He hasn't made any attempt to play, but is always out and about keeping an eye on things. He knows no fear. When we're inside it's pretty much like she has always been here. She is by my side every step I take. Sleeps behind me while I'm doing dishes. The whole time I am on the computer she keeps making me play tug and dragging me in my wheelie chair across the room. She is a character! I went to make up her bolster bed at the foot of my bed last night and when I turned around to show her I see she's already in mine waiting to cuddle. So she and both cats slept with me last night. No doubt this was meant to be.
Outside is where she is a handful. Other dogs, kids, etc. She HATES being restrained or controlled when she wants to go elsewhere. She actually does an Air Bud maneuver with all 4 feet off the ground with a mid-air twist where she comes down with the leash in her mouth biting it to get free. She's already bit through my leather leash. I ran out to the Dollar Store early this morning and got a red nylon to match her stylish red collar. I'm hoping she is better at my parents where there are almost no neighbors and distractions - at least until she gets the basic rules and manners down. I have a nylon choke collar and no-pull harness that are on loan to a friend, but I just requested a quick return of both. If they don't help I will go for the prongs, but I want to try these first. I've got just under 2 weeks before the surgery to get her more under control. She is very smart but also very stubborn at times. Overall - she is great! Not perfect, but I'm confident that we'll work it all out. Patience, persistence & I'm more stubborn than she is. I started this message a little after 8pm. See how long it takes to write when you keep getting dragged across the room? But we are both having a blast!
Talk to you soon!
Patty and Salus

Uma

Nancy,

You're right! She's no more than two and still very much a puppy who is both making Sheryl laugh and driving her to tears at the same time. Yesterday, and this was ALL yesterday, she managed to steal all my shirts and socks out of the laundry baskets to carry around the house with her Sheryl had taken one of my shirts and put it on the back of a chair, only to keep finding it laying on the bed every time she left the room after 4 times, she caught Uma pulling it down. Then, we left for an hour and when we came back, a sleeve of saltines was gone, a bag of circus peanuts hidden under a sweatshirt on the bed, a small bag of chocolate powder mix torn open and spread all over the bed. Max and her played so hard that by 10, Max as pooped, but Uma was just getting started and literally pulled him off the couch to play some more even him being peeved and biting her didn't deter her. When Max wants bed, he wants bed but even there she had the bed rocking around us trying to wrestle with him, the woman is nuts I tell ya! nuts! lolol

Every morning she looks for the kittens, two of whom got adopted, and she finally met rocky who we dragged downstairs out of hiding, that went ok as Uma looked and sniffed and licked rocky was frozen in fear but I now know its going to work out fine. once again, Sheryl picked the right dog for this family! Now if I could just get Uma to move over in bed, she'd be perfect! and you named oh so well.

Uma today in "her " bed

Rory

Hi Nancy,
I hope you remember me, I adopted Spice (now named Rory) from you two years ago. I cant believe how much time has passed! Just to let you know how good she is doing. Her and Roman are of course inseperateable. They sleep on the couch together, even though they have the option of having their own each night, and she is doing really good at the dog park with the other dogs. She was a little shaky at first last year, and now that it is nice out again we have been taking her and Roman down there and she has been playing with the smaller dogs. She also likes getting in the creek and wading around, though she wont go in past her thighs but she will run up and down the bank all day if she could. I have also included a few more pictures for you of Rory getting her daily belly rub! I told my husband today that when the time has come to get another one, we know where to go again because we are so blessed to have Rory in our lives! Thanks again and keep up the good work!
Rama

Nikita

Nikita is a Belgian Malinois.

We took her in to help out another rescue.

She's working out okay.  I have her in obedience training and she's doing well there.  I've been taking her for a lot of walks.

Mattie

Hi!

Thought you would like to see Mattie with her new best bud!  In this picture  Mattie is on top!

Barb

Luke

Nancy,
Luke is doing fine. We are all used to each other now. He still likes to
test us, but we understand it now. He has not gotten into anything at all.
We take him out on walks. Mikey gets him running around. The two of them
play really good together. He is a real good boy. I got the info you sent on the training classes. I would like to try to take advantage of them some time soon. Here are a couple of pics. Thanks for all. I hope you are having success with all the other puppies.

Dozer now Drager

Hi Nancy,

I'm kind of thinking he already knows what the spray bottle is. We were cleaning today and he didn't want any part of being near the lemon Clorox, nor the vacuum cleaner either for that matter. I guess I'll be doing it on my own still. He did claim a spot for himself on the love seat. I really didn't have a fair reason why the cats could do it and not him. So I got him his own blanket and he made himself to home. If your curious to how he's adapting to his new lifestyle, I've included a recent  photo. It would appear as if he's done this before...or perhaps he's just a quick learner.

We went to a KDKA Radio firefighter function today. I don't know what he liked best, all the attention he received, or the pepperoni roll breakfast...We're starting to get him beefed up! He's a big hit with most of the guys...Thank you again so much.

Bear

Nancy and Cyndy,
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you both for allowing us the opportunity to meet and adopt BEAR. Within two days he has made several people enormously happy. He is just

awesome! Although this morning I caught him tearing holes into Ben's bedspread. As soon as I said "Bear No", he stopped. Everyone at first sight is intimidated, but are one over once they get to know him. Even Adam gets the chance to walk him with me at night. My wife is still very leery that he will not destroy our house, but she can't believe how gentle he is. We have come home from an afternoon/evening and found the house just the way we left it. After conducting a complete inspection, she was amazed! Her first spoken heartfelt moment came yesterday when he was laying on the couch with his head on Ben's lap watching TV. Ben said he even caught her petting him. I think in time he will win her over, just like he did all of us!

Well I just wanted to give you a quick update and to thank you once again!

K.C.

We all went for a walk last night, Scott took these pictures. K.C. was very good on lead. We passed two dogs in our walk and he did not react to them. He just followed my lead and kept walking. Mind you these other dogs were freaking out and pulling there owners, I just made a throat noise at K.C. and we just kept walking no pulling or anything.
Thanks again for K.C. he is awesome!!

VINNIE

Hey Nancy!

I just wanted to let ya know how well Vinnie did last evening. We got home and he came right out of the car with no problems. We kept him outside for a little while and he didn't do anything, so we took him inside and had 2 accidents, but we took him directly outside after that. He and Ruby played for most of the night last night, and when we gave him a shower, Ruby was a little upset and pee'd outside the bathroom door, which is not like her at all. I think she was just mad at us. For bedtime, he went into his crate and Ruby didn't want to leave him alone, so we had to put a gate up in out bedroom and she slept on her bed, not even on ours all night! He ate well this morning and went outside already, no accidents yet (knock on wood)! He is already afraid of the spray bottle, and knows when he does something good, he goes right to where the treats are!
I think we lucked out with him! He's a great dog!
Thanks,
Lyndsay and Chris

RUBY

Hello Hello Nancy!
I wanted to send you some pictures to show you how happy our little miss Ruby is. Her and Lucy FINALLY took to each other and are now best friends (even though they both tend to get a little jealous of each other at times). She has been a wonderful addition to our family, helping with the recent loss of Jake. I also included some sweet pictures of him, since I know you loved him so much! Keep in touch!

GRETTA

I have started working with Gretta, In the 2 weeks I have had her I have found out a lot about her. She is very verbal and knows  what she wants. We laugh at her because sometimes we're not sure if she's just telling us what she wants, or telling us off. We call her "Lassie" when she is on a roll with "talking". I'm trying to get specific words for specific things to channel that barking so we both know what each other wants.  She reminds me of my last dog at two, he would test me when I was not expecting it, but settled down a lot by 3-4 years old.
Patti

Rory and Roman

Nancy! Its been a year but I hope you remember us. We adopted Spice (now Rory) from you and we have our male Roman. Just letting you know how great they are doing and what a wonderful dog she really is. She is just full of life, and in the past year has just opened up and is just a big part of the family. She acts like she has been here for years and keeps a big smile on her face everyday. I am sending you some pictures just to let you see how she's doing. I'm sorry about your loss, I read in the news letter we get :(. You are such a great person I know good things will come your way!

LOLA

We called her Momma, left at an out of state shelter this little girl is a pup herself. It is unknown what happened to her babies, but we think she misses them very much. Now in her new loving home LOLA is a very happy.

ARCHIE

This is Archie who I took in 2 yrs ago . He was extremely emaciated and blind in one eye due to glaucoma . As you can see now he is a happy , well adjusted boy who is absolutely beautiful, and no longer in pain or hungry. This is a perfect example of a dog who will be on a lifetime of eye drops but was excepted into a loving family that did not mind his "special needs".

GINNY

Ginny is a young female that came from a West Virginia shelter (Ginny is short for Virginia). This poor girl has been neglected in the past and acts like its the first time she has ever had someone actually care about her. She now has that special family giving her the time and care she deserves!

ANDY

Andy a young red male that came to us from a shelter after being picked up as a stray and is about one year old. Andy had a really rough start in life, his left rear leg was broken as a puppy causing the hip joint not to form. He also has some nerve damage to his muzzle. Andy is now looking good in a new loving forever home.

BENTLEY

Discarded for deformed and crippled feet, now in a loving forever home.

Tucker

Michele just adopted Tucker the red male Doberman , who is 10 yrs old and completely blind, he was adopted from a different rescue group than mine but just take a good look at this senior. He was found wandering as a stray (BLIND) in Cleveland. He apparently was being used as a bait dog for pitbull training. He had to have one of his eyes removed and sewn shut and the other is completely blind from glaucoma. His ears are shredded and he has multiple scars on his body. This dog had a horrible life, but now is safe and happy for his senior years with Michele. Please don’t forget about those seniors out there, no matter where they are from. Saving one is so rewarding and they have a lot of love to give. Just look at those photos. How could you not love him!

BOSWELL

He was rescued by Nancy. He will be 11 in June, we had him 1 1/2 years already. Thank you so much

ADAM

Adam has gone to the rainbow bridge, he will be missed.

Nancy,
Just wanted to let you know Adam had a great Thanksgiving. We had Kris' parents and her aunt and cousin down to our place. Adam was so well behaved. He didn't jump on anyone and politely distributed his patented ear kisses. I've been having some problems with my email so I can't send any photos right now. He looks great though and has been making sure the deer don't spend too much time in his yard. We go for walks in the woods and his nose is to the ground the whole time. An old country buffet of smells for he and Lucy. The cats are finally starting to come downstairs. They've figured out they can push Adam around with a hiss and a swat on the nose. He gets this "what did I do I just want to play" look on his face which is hilarious.

Take care.

Mark

DOODLE

Doodle is enjoying her new home.

VAN and COCO

Last July, someone dumped Coco across the road from where I work, and the people there already had two German Shepherds, so they were asking around for a home for her. Sucker that I am, I took her home and Lori (my wife) immediately fell for her. The week she was dumped off was one where the Butler animal shelter was full and not accepting additional strays, so some real brave former owner probably just threw her out of his car. So there you have it!

GUNTHER and ADA

Gunther the red and Aerie the fawn where adopted from me. Gunther was found skinny and neglected in a drug adicts house, the owner had died from an overdose and 3 dogs where found a week or so later. Aerie is one of the 6 fawn pups relinquished to DPRPA, she is around 5 or 6 mo old now. I thought you would like to see a recent photo of the puppy (center) Gunther and ADA. Can you believe how they all get along? One bed three dogs.

BUCA

Buca is one of my rescues, he has a bad habit of eating socks. This put him in the hospital for major surgery one year on New Years Day. He survived but still has not learned his lesson. Buca was the Red Baron on Halloween and loves to swim.

BAILEY

Bailey is also one of my rescues. She was kept in an outside pen for the first year of her life and had many "issues" when she came to rescue. Bailey met Buca and they both fell in love at first sight. They are still best friends.
